FAMILY FALL CARNIVAL

September is National Library Card Signup Month, and the Chetco Library is celebrating with a Family Fall Carnival this Saturday, September 23, from 11am to 3pm. The carnival, which will include classic games, prizes, and a facepainting booth, will be held outdoors in the library’s rear parking lot at 405 Alder Street in Brookings. Admission is free.Everyone who visits the Library Info Booth at the event and signs up for a library card, or makes sure their contact info is up to date for their existing library account, will receive a children’s book to keep for their personal library. Several options will be available.This year’s carnival theme is “Adventure Starts Here!” and will feature attractions and characters modeled after classic and contemporary children’s books.
